Storm Harvest: Reclaimed Hardwood Flooring, But Brand New

As we have covered previously; when we talk about reclaimed flooring on this blog, we mean hardwood flooring that has been lifted by our fitters, and that is in good enough condition that it will last a new owner a lifetime if properly cared for.

This, like the other types of reclaimed flooring so popular in the states, -- i.e. reclaimed railway sleepers made into flooring – is the most popular choice for those who want a solid wood floor that doesn’t cost the earth figuratively speaking or literally (inexpensive and environmentally friendly).

Well, today I am going to tell you about another reclaimed flooring we love as much as our core reclaimed flooring branch (see what I did there).

Storm Harvest, is a brand of flooring made from trees that have been felled naturally; that have either been blown down by the wind, or have had to be felled because storm damage has made them unable to survive. We class this as reclaimed flooring, because it would otherwise be burned, but it is being reclaimed and recycled, in this case by Clyde Flooring.

The greatest thing about Storm Harvest flooring is that it allows people to make the environmental choice, but still get a 100% brand new wood floor. Unfortunately
