I have just been informed that there is a shipment of more lovely voluptuous reclaimed Maple currently on its way into our Govan showroom.
For those that were disappointed to find out that the last batch had sold out, get in quickly because the wood is to be sold at £20 per square meter and there is only 140 square meters – between 10 and 35 rooms depending on the size of the rooms – so it will go in no time.
For newcomers to the blog, reclaimed Maple is the bargain of the century as far as we are concerned. Few woods can match Maple in terms of its deep lustre and the body it gives a room, and as a result it is a very expensive wood to buy new, with the top brands costing over £100 per square meter. So, to get it in good condition as this is for just £15 per square meter is an awesome deal.
This batch of reclaimed Maple really does represent a piece of history, history of its own and history of the thousands of people who have walked, danced and sang atop it. The wood has been lifted from the church hall at St Margaret's Church Hall, Portland Street, Kinning Park, Glasgow.
The planks are 83mm wide by 20mm in depth, which adds to the value. For those that do not know why it adds value; the depth of the wood will determine how many times the floor can be sanded, which in turn equals the length of the wood floor’s life.
