Pine flooring doesn’t come up all that often in the reclaimed section, because pine flooring is something to be cherished and very rarely sold. However, we have been fortunate enough to have been offered this batch of Pine floorboards, machined from salvaged Pine roof trusses.
This truly is a rare and wonderful find; genuine Scottish pine, reclaimed flooring but brand new in that it has never been walked on or sanded. Put another way, new floorboards made from antique wood, meaning this reclaimed pitch Pine has all the benefits of reclaimed flooring; i.e. the history, the environmental benefits and all the benefits of new wood flooring (length of life, lack of dust-mites, ease of cleaning) and none of the downsides – it hasn’t been used or tarnished.
