A Herringbone Oak/Maple Floor for £12.77 a Square Meter, Really?

Yes really. For those that do not know what herringbone is, it is the most popular parquet (geometric patterns), pattern, created using two different species of wood made to look like a herringbone (see below).

We have got in stock right now some oak and maple blocks that are not only perfect for creating a herringbone pattern wood floor, but that were previously laid herringbone in the memorial hall of the prestigious  Kilmarnock Academy (read here for the full story).

The image above doesn’t do the kind of herringbone we are talking about here justice, because it is single species.

Herringbone using two different species -- especially maple and oak, which compliment each other excellently –, is a sight to behold. We will try to get some pictures of it to show you. In the meantime use the links above, click here, call 0845 602 7694 or email enquiries@mckayflooring.co.uk to find out more about the oak and maple blocks.
